Kern's Girl of the Week – Randy

Every week Richard Kern invites us to his L.E.S. apartment where we go through a huge box of archival photographs from his long and checkered career. Today’s featured model is Randy, a West Coast brunette with a burgeoning baby bump.

Where was the shot taken?
This was in LA. It was when I thought shooting a pregnant girl would be really fun. I’ve shot quite a few. I thought, “Oh, she’s pregnant, I’ll shoot her!”

Around what year?
I’d say this is about ’97, ’98. I thought it’d be funny because this kid is now in her teens, or his teens—I don’t know if it was a boy or a girl.

I once had a conversation with a coke dealer who talked about fucking pregnant women. I realized he was not only fucking the pregnant women, he was also selling them cocaine.
Ooooh, that’s bad.

Yeah, on many levels.
