Skyping Santa, Blackface Elves and Pooping Logs

Let’s start with the “worse.” The Dutch have a pretty racist traditional lore around their Santa, or Sinterklaas. Instead of elves, Santa has “six to eight black men” called Zwarte Piet. Yes, black men, six to eight of them. To celebrate the tradition, Dutch people, some of them anyhow, get all dressed up in black face around the holidays and have a merry ol’ time.
