JEFF the Brotherhood played at Santos last night and they’re still way better than your band. It’s always a huge risk when a band decides to release an album with a major label, which is precisely why it was so great to see JEFF the Brotherhood in fine form last night, just one day after releasing Hypnotic Nights on Warner Brothers Records.
To a packed room of new fans, Nashville cronies, and even the Best Band Dad in the World, Jake and Jamin Orrall blasted through an hour long set that included tracks spanning back from The Boys R Back In Town LP, to their newest stuff, and even a blistering cover of 1972 metal anthem “I’m a Freak” by Wicked Lady. This was my fourth time seeing JEFF, and I’m more than happy to say they’re still every bit as refreshing and totally fucking rock & roll as the first time. Go buy their CD here, & wish them a happy birthday when their Infinity Cat record label turns 10 tomorrow!
