Watch Dozens of People Say the Word Drone

Politics, ethics, and the questionable civilian casualty counts of drone warfare aside, drone is just a really weird word to hear.

‘Drone’ is a popular buzzword at Motherboard (if you weren’t aware yet). Often a conversation starter, drones will endure as an entree of topic, often continuing into a debate for dessert. (Well, we don’t eat that much dessert together, but I badly wanted to preserve the 3-course meal analogy.)

Over the weekend I decided it was finally time to chalk up a supercut as a way of unloading all the drone-talk I’ve absorbed as of lately. Politics, ethics, and the questionable civilian casualty counts of drone warfare aside, drone is just a really weird word to hear.

Anderson in West Texas

If you’re going to pick the brain of Brian Anderson, Motherboard’s resident drone expert, thou shalt be warned — you’re in for a brain numbing. Whether it’s the shadowy realm of UAV regulation, hobbyist applications, mid-air refueling, or the nuclear drone Godfather, the drone world goes deep. And as I write this, Anderson is working on Motherboard’s UAV documentary, called ‘Drone On.’ See the trailer. Oh yeah, don’t forget the catcopter.
