Kelly Lee Owens Announces Debut Album, Hear First Single "Anxi." Featuring Jenny Hval

London-based producer and singer Kelly Lee Owens has announced the details of her self-titled debut album, out March 24 on Smalltown Supersound, also sharing the Jenny Hval-assisted first single "Anxi."

The track is a testament to Owens' ability to fuse cavernous techno, spectral pop, and Krautrock's mechanical pulse. The single percolates Hval's vocal work with its unrelenting pulse, and leaves to moodily move through a perpetual near-crescendo.

"It has been my most freeing and open collaboration so far, and my first time working with a female," Owens said of working with the Norwegian singer and musician in a press release. "It was a very powerful experience for me, I felt she brought something strange and quite beautiful."
