There Have Been a Ton of Injuries in the NFL Today

There have been several significant injuries to high profile players today in the NFL.

Today has been a particularly brutal day for injuries in the NFL, and many high profile players have suffered significant injuries. Steelers running back Le'Veon Bell and Saints running back Khiry Robinson were both carted off the field after suffering nasty-looking leg injuries.

Bears running back Matt Forte left the game against the Vikings with a knee injury and was ruled out for the remainder of the game. 49ers running back Reggie Bush also suffered a leg injury when he slid on he concrete near the stands in St. Louis. He was also carted off.

Calvin Johnson left the London game against the Chiefs when he re-injured his ankle in the fourth quarter, though that might just have been precautionary/merciful. And Steve Smith was walked off the field with a towel over his head after falling down in a heap and clutching the back of his ankle.

Larry Donnell was also carted off the field with what the Giants called a neck injury, and will not be back. And Ryan Fitzpatrick just left the game for the Jets on their first drive of the game.

This is by no means an exhaustive list of injured players, but today has seemed extraordinarily bad for player health.
