Flower Power's Set to Bring Eternal Sunshine to London

The hippy dippy bash is set to arrive on our rainy little island this weekend.

I know we all know but it bears repeating: Ibiza isn't all lurid shots and strawpeedos or Richie Hawtin and a bag of pills. Head off the beaten strip and you'll probably find yourself sprawled on a perfect beach surrounded by incredible looking hippy types engaging in effortlessly strenuous yoga sessions, sipping on nothing stronger than good old fashioned agua sin gas. That, we're told, is the real Ibiza, the Ibiza that everyone from the Romans onwards has longed to visit, the Ibiza that existed before Danny Rampling and lads nipped over and changed everything forever.

Still, even hippies like to party, and there's no hippier or happier party than Pacha's legendary Flower Power bashes. This weekend sees the high spirits roll into soggy old London. Saturday's event — held in Greenwich's relatively new Studio 338 — is the first time the party's made its way over to the UK. It's a family affair with Ibizan resident DJ Piti heading up a bill that features the likes of Victor Nebot, Rich West and Maze & Masters.

To get us in the mood for the future, let's dip into the past and soak ourselves in a flowery bubblebath of nocturnal nostalgia with a look at some memories of yore. Oh, and a few from the not so distant past too. See if you can work out what's from when.

If these have left you enticed, why not head here to buy a ticket for the event.
