Remember 2012, when we hosted the Olympics and everyone in Britain was full of community spirit and love for one another? Well, while most of us were busy crocheting Union Jacks, Sam Sadler was spinning around on his computer chair creating some unadulterated a cappella dubstep fire. "Pins and Needles" first dropped nearly three years ago, to a reaction of bewildered enjoyment. The general consensus was, "is it weird I actually fuck with this?" The video rocketed Sadler to viral fame, but was soon forgotten — probably eclipsed by a video of a cat falling out a window or something. The internet is a fickle mistress.Well, prepare to welcome Sadler back into your life. Bass engineers and remix wizards RIOT must have been sitting on this idea for a while. They've taken the blueprints of "Pins and Needles", as outlined by Sadler's emphatic and relentless "WA WA WA BLAAAAAA"s and provided the wobbly throbs that up until this point had only existed in his head. The finished product sits neatly alongside "Hide Your Kids, Hide Your Wife" in the "funny video I actually sincerely quite enjoy listening to" category. We've been wondering who was going to nab the sound of the summer for a while now. Disclosure? Jamie XX? HudMo? NO. Sam Sadler. I can see it now, the circle building, the pit preparing, sweaty beer-drenched bros rearing up, arms outstretched, crying out, "I see a girl, she's really fit, wa wa wa wa wanna take her home." Then the drop and everyone loses their collective shit all the while, of course, wearing the unseeable "PUSSAY" T shirt (that actually explores innovative new avenues for offensive novelty clothing). Expect to hear this one tearing it up internationally all summer for the rest of your life. Most insane dubstep yet. Pins and Needles. Headphones? Probably broken. WA WA WA WA WA WA WA WA WA WA WA WA NEEDLES…BLAAAAAAA.In Sadler's words: "Wow."RIOT are on Facebook and Soundcloud.
