A Version of N.E.R.D.'s "Don't Don't Do It!" with Frank Ocean Has Surfaced

Frank's listed as a songwriter on the Kendrick Lamar-featuring track, but it looks like he laid down vocals too.

(UPDATE: you're late – the alternative version rip went down on Monday 22 Jan)

Back in December when N.E.R.D. released their highly-anticipated album No_One Ever Really Dies, eagle-eyed fans noted that Frank Ocean was listed as a writer on the Kendrick Lamar-feature "Don't Don't Do It!" and Redditors hoped that maybe – just maybe – a remix featuring the man himself might surface.

It looks like that holy grail exists: a few days ago, a version of "Don't Don't Do It!" with vocals from Frank showed up online. His verse is dreamy, with throwback, Channel Orange-esque guitars (it's especially reminiscent of tracks like "Sweet Life"), which the otherwise-frantic track then swallows up before morphing into the rest of the song, on which we hear Pharrell and Kendrick Lamar.

While it's unlikely that this will get an official release, it's nice to hear Frank back on such a funky sound, and it's especially fun to hear him on a collab with Kendrick. Listen below:
