Get Face Down in the Punk Rock Feed Trough With Rik and the Pigs

The Olympia punks return with a new release that's demonstrative of their insane live show.

Rik and the Pigs is my kind of punk band. What started as a solo project for Erik "Ricky" Meyer, has grown into a fully blown, demented and raw extravaganza that's been known to include six members blasting out sax and synth and the odd Black Flag cover.

The Olympia band's latest 7" offering that is coming out on Feel It records was recorded in Portland at the end of their recent west coast tour. Feel It says that this time the entire six-piece lineup played on the record. "Much like the upcoming LP on Total Punk, the sound of this material is much fuller (notice how I didn't say "produced", we're still talking punk rock here) and very representative of the Pigs' killer live show."

The record includes three tracks, "Blue Jean Queen", "Off/On" and a new version (that you can listen to below) of "TV Bloopers", which originally appeared on their 2015 demo on Lumpy Records as well as last year's Volume II cassette.

Rik & the Pigs 7" will be available soon on Feel It.
