Hey, work? Yeah, sorry, I need to fill in all these squares. Mm hmm. No, it can’t. Alright, well I’ll pick up my last check after I fill in all these squares.
Were Get It Filled available on mobile platforms, I doubt I'd play much else for the next couple of weeks. It may look a series of The Witness-style puzzles, but Get It Filled differentiates itself from Jon Blow's time-intensive island in meaningful ways. You're drawing a line on a grid, yes, but you must draw said line through the whole dang grid, accounting for escalating roadblocks as you progress through the game's 40 levels.

Get It Filled does a good job of easing the player into its whole deal, though the difficulty ramp is on a bit of a steep incline. Once everything gets spooled up, the game takes on the sort of intimidation/elation cycle that those fuck-off huge sudoku puzzles embody. "It is impossible, " you may think. "There is no solution to this that I will be able to uncover. Surely I am lost here, in this maze, beyond the scope of salvation," and then you figure it out, and it feels great.
It's just like that episode of Batman: The Animated Series, when The Riddler trapped Bruce and Dick in a labyrinth full of puzzles and a robotic minotaur; this was an original concept uninfluenced by other works of fiction, as far as I am aware.Anyway, I can't overstate how well-suited Get It Filled is for mobile, and I really hope that developer Diamonax is interested in releasing the game on other platforms. It's simple and effective in both concept and execution, with a clean, minimalist interface and satisfying puzzles that I would gladly solve while using the bathroom. What else does a mobile game need?Get It Filled runs in browser as an HTML5 applet over on that there itch.io.
