LONDON - THE OLD BLUE STRIKES AGAIN

At this point we assume you’re all like, "OK, we get it! You run the best live venue in the universe! Shut up already!" However, for any remaining naysayers, here’s more proof of our pub’s pre-eminence in the world of boozy, music-fuelled tomfoolery. The Guardian has voted the Old Blue Last one of the best music venues in the country…

They say it "combines the ironic cool that its owner Vice specialises in with the kind of décor you'd expect to find in a Victorian gin palace."

We actually placed fourth on the Guardian list, but it seems like they purposely pushed us off the medal podium because they wanted to differ from the NME (who said our pub was the best in the world) and the Times (who said our jukebox was the best in Britain).

Nevertheless, all this press has left us wondering: since when have so many national publications paid so much interest in one little pub?
