MELBOURNE - A REASON TO GO OUT / SUPER GIG THIS FRIDAY

I know it's fucking miserable out there but if you only leave the house once this winter it should be for this. Local record label Mistletone have done us all a fine favour and brought Baltimore's Beach House down under for the first time. We've been drooling over this band for ages now and think they're the perfect accompaniment to those softer moments in life. Like Tito, a fan on their myspace page writes: "I love your music so much. I cry to it often…". So do we, Tito. As if that isn't enough, Mistletone have also added another 12 bands to the lineup, sweetening a deal that didn't even need to be sweetened. Yes, Beach House plus 12 more bands, namely: Love of Diagrams, Pikelet, Beaches, Bachelorette, Kes Band, Panel of Judges, Qua, Lost Animal, Barrage, Crayon Fields, Actor/Model, Talkshow Boy.

Um…it's so good it's ridiculous.

Here's the boring info:
Winter Tones, Friday August 22 at Roxanne Parlour (third floor, 2 Coverlid Place Melbourne). Tickets are $26 + booking fee from Moshtix and Polyester. Or you can probably buy them at the door on the night if there's any left. It starts really early. At 7:30pm!! But if you get there much later you'll miss Lost Animal, who starts the night at 8pm, and will hate yourself forever.
