Trump Allegedly Called a Deaf Actress 'Retarded' on 'The Apprentice' Set

It looks like we won't even need NBC to release the Apprentice tapes to find out some of the heinous things Donald Trump has said about the show's contestants. According to staffers who worked on the show, the Republican candidate allegedly called Academy Award–winning actress Marlee Matlin, who is deaf, "retarded." He also reportedly said Khloe Kardashian is a "fat piglet."

On Thursday, three sources told the Daily Beast that Trump would consistently make fun of Matlin's voice and treat her as if she were mentally disabled. One Apprentice staffer said, "In the boardroom, he would talk to her like she was 'special.' He took her deafness as a some kind of [mental] handicap."

Another source recalls cleaning up the set after the show and finding Trump's notes in which he allegedly wrote, "Marlee, is she retarded??"

Then, on Friday, the Huffington Post reported that Trump said some repulsive things about Khloe Kardashian's weight off camera during a 2009 taping of the Celebrity Apprentice, before firing her from the show.

"Why don't we fire Khloe? She is a fat piglet. Why did we get the ugly Kardashian?," a staffer recalls Trump saying.

The comments reinforce the claims made by former Apprentice contestant Richard Hatch, who told People magazine that Trump would often make lewd comments on set.

"It was obvious and it was grotesque. It was blatant and it was frequent. He did it with Lisa Rinna; he did it with Marlee Matlin. He did it with whomever happened to be there at the time," Hatch told People. "That was not just uncomfortable for me. It was weird."

The Trump campaign hasn't replied to the Post's or the Beast's request to comment. During the second presidential debate, Trump told the audience, "I have great respect for women. Nobody has more respect for women than I do."
