Neon Indian Bugs Out for His New Video

Analogue animation abounds.

Joao Machado, an unusual artist and filmmaker, has made the video for creator Neon Indian’s latest track “6669 (I Don’t Know If You Know)” off the still-riding-high-on-our-playlists album Psychic Chasms. Using bits of string, wool, and other assorted bric-a-brac; this video is a stop-motion mutation that sees an eyeball hatch from its stripy shell and morph into a mustachioed giant spider. Providing you’re not arachnophobic, the video’s lo-fi charm is a perfect accompaniment to the song’s bleepy, mellow psychedelia.
