Creators Remix Roundup: CSS, Mark Ronson, And Diplo Remixed

Come one come all, to the remix ball.

Our Creators are a talented and prolific bunch, and our inbox is always overflowing with alerts of new remixes and mashups from the incredible DJs and producers in our line-up. We just couldn't keep these fresh new tunes to ourselves because, after all, filesharing is caring. Here are our top picks from the past week.

Mark Ronson & The Business Intl.: “Somebody To Love Me feat. Boy George” (Alexander Pasko Remix DUB)

The single from Ronson‘s Record Collection gets some added “hand-waving” beats, so the song becomes a night-fever, clubby number that you could throw some shapes around to after a hard week’s slave-waging, burning up the local discotheque like a human dance inferno. There’s rumors afoot that next year there’s going to be another summer of love, so call this homework.

CSS: City Grrrl ft. Ssion

We featured a previous incarnation of this but this one’s a different video and the original version of the song, so there. Lovefoxx goes down an escalator, goes into the restroom and gets changed into a superfly outfit while a floating bald head starts gently mocking her. Then she’s got pink hair and she’s walking around a city singing about black lipstick and short skirts in some kind of Desperately Seeking Madonna post-modern narrative.

Diplo & Oliver Twizt: “Go” (Peace Treaty Remix)

It’s the end of the night and you can’t find your mates, the dance floors all sticky, the lights are about to come up but there’s still time for one last jam. On it comes and you start punching the air with tearful over enthusiasm, the crescendo’s building and it looks like it might actually burst your eardrums and turn your mind to fudge as the squelchy foghorn of a build reaches its climax AND… ah, turns out you passed out on your mate’s couch at 8PM and it was all a dream.

Florence + The Machine’s “No Light, No Light”—a new decade is taking shape and this is its soundtrack.
