London Ambulance Service said it was called to the scene at 11:58 AM. Over 100 firefighters arrived, and one man was treated on-site for burns before being taken to a nearby major trauma hospital by air ambulance, according to a spokesperson for London's Air Ambulance. No official announcements have been made about the origins of the fire.

Speaking to reporters at the scene, Islington Fire Brigade Station Manager Winston Douglas said: "This is a large fire and the smoke could be seen from across London, meaning we received a large number of emergency calls. Firefighters will be at the scene for the rest of the day, and possibly into the evening."

Labels and promoters including Cocoon, Space Ibiza, and Elbow have all recently held events at the club.

Studio 338 did not respond to THUMP's request for comment at the time of publication.
