Aston Villa keeper Brad Guzan, looking like 16-year-old me in gym class, gave Sergio Aguero one of the easiest goals you're ever going to see with this horribly shanked attempt to clear the ball. Ron Vlaar passed back to Guzan who then tried to hit the ball as it rolled to him and, good lord, did he ever mangle that. Aguero simply chased it down and tapped it into the net for a 1-0 Manchester City lead in the opening minutes.Villa manager Tim Sherwood considered starting Shay Given, who has played every cup game for the club this year, but obviously decided to stick with Guzan for league play today.
