Seth Troxler Mixes the First Entry in Output's Residency Series

Banging techno from the Visionquest master.

Working here at the VICE offices in the heart of North Williamsburg has its perks. If we're feeling thirsty we can go across the street and down a beer (or two) at Brooklyn Brewery. If we're feeling hungry we can go scarf down a plate of delicious meatballs at The Meatball Shop. And finally, if we feel like dancing our asses off all night under a glorious Funktion-One soundsystem—we walk right down the block to Ouput. This place has a killer system, a sweet rooftop and some of the best programming you'll find west of the Atlantic Ocean. So when the awesome people at Output asked if we wanted to host the first installment in their new resident mix series, our answer was a simple, "duh."

To kick off the club's resident focused "Outcast" mix series they've recruited the one and only Visionquest techno don, Seth Troxler, who will be holding down a quarterly residency at the Brooklyn nightclub as part of his "club-focused" nationwide tour. Seth will be testing Output's system to its limits this Saturday when he throws down an all night set in the main room. Another accomplished (minimal) techno dude, Daniel Bell, will be providing some more stripped down beats in the main rooms' smaller brother, The Panther Room. We here at THUMP love new friends, so join us Saturday for some Brooklyn beers, a place of spicy meatballs and an all-night techno soiree.. And if you're feeling impatient for all that fun stuff—listen to this mix.
