Watch Naked’s New Video and Feel Australia’s Vastness

The Hobart band's video for 'Blepharitis' will have you feeling small and insignificant.

Tasmania, that lonely little island at the bottom of Australia, is so often overlooked. But Hobart band Naked shouldn't be. They make the daily seem more significant and our everyday struggles worth more than just a careless shrug.

The video for "Blepharitis", off their album Pink Quartz from earlier in the year, is a subdued one. Shot by Kim Walls, the video follows the band and a few friends into rocky rural Australian areas.

Through the fog we see the ghost of mountains and dwarfed houses and powerlines, as well as the eerie but beautiful muddy bushland. The cliffs, towering with bits of sparse plants peeking out from cuts of rock, surround Naked as they pour each other a cup of something hot and admire the view. It's frank and simple, but that's all Australian nature needs to have its vastness amplified.

'Pink Quartz' is available now through Tenth Court.
