Jamaal Charles Gets Blown Up At Goal Line, Scores TD Anyway

Jamaal Charles scored a 16-yard touchdown on a slashing run and took a monster hit at the goal line to get in.

Jamaal Charles got Kansas City on the board against San Diego with a weaving 16-yard touchdown run that was relatively easy—and he wasn't even touched, until he got to the goal line. Ex-teammate Brandon Flowers was waiting for him in the end zone and tried to dislodge the ball with a crushing hit that sent the leaping Charles spinning in mid-air. Charles actually shrugged the hit off and popped right up and it was Flowers who took the worst of it. He remained on the ground for a while before slowly walking off the field.

Here's another look at the hit:

Charles passed Priest Holmes as the franchise's all-time rushing leader on the play, too.
