The Moms Who Smoke Pot While Pregnant

Watch the all-new 'WEEDIQUETTE' episode exploring the arguments for and against expecting mothers lighting up.

On an all-new episode of VICELAND's WEEDIQUETTE, host Krishna Andavolu sets out to answer a controversial question: Is smoking weed while pregnant really so bad? Finding the answer takes him to meet Kim, an expectant mother 32 weeks into her pregnancy who gets high every day. Because of a rare medical condition that leaves her with intense nausea during gestation, she can't keep from vomiting—unless she gets stoned.

Krishna explores the issue from every side, talking with a doctor advising against smoking while pregnant, an expert researching how Child Protective Services can ruin lives by taking babies away from mothers who get high, and sitting down with a roomful of moms who consumed cannabis during their pregnancies. By the end of the episode, Kim's had her baby, and Krishna gets to see whether—for her—smoking weed while pregnant is really as bad as it's made out to be.
