Well, hello. We were just on our way to that Mexican bodega on Bedford to get some tacos, when who should flag us down but Jeff Jensen of the Jewish and Earles & Jensen and too many other funny projects to remember. And what should he be flagging from the window of? Why, the taco truck he just bought and now runs with a revolving cast of Williamsburg notables. It's called Endless Summer Tacos (it was originally going to be Los Dudes) and it is parked on N.7th right by the L-train entrance on Wednesday through Saturday nights and all of Sunday day. You can't miss them. They've got a Mexican version of the Black Flag logo on one side, a Mexican on the other, and they serve tacos and burritos in chicken, beef, fish, seitan, or pork flavors. But they are also very accommodating—we asked them if they could make us a burrito with all the meats in it and they said, "Oh, a Suicide? You got it, mister!" That is now officially the obnoxious dish we are going to badger every Mexican eatery into making for us for the rest of time. It was a watershed moment for eating stuff. On top of all that, it turns out that bodega place got shut down a month ago or something. The serendipity was sinfully delicious.
PS: They evidently haven't put together their website yet. Keep checking back until they get on top of that.
