When a band can confidently sing, “flex my affluence/miss my flight” you know you’re in for something. Rising from the depths of Montreal’s ever talented populace, maximalist electro-pop outfit, NONI WO drop off their newest single, “Spector” from forthcoming EP, U S B E P, a seven track interdisciplinary project that is designed to satisfy the user through sight, sound and touch. Yeesh. We’re unsure if “Specter” fulfills those rigorous requirements, however it does bring to mind sunny dispositions with loose guitar chords, saccharine flute playing and a play-pen of intentionally out of place sonic elements. That is to say the song and the EP sound good, although it doesn’t really deliver on the touch part because, well yeah, that’s impossible. Either way, U S B E P conveniently comes on a USB key and is available for purchase through Montreal label, Banko Gotiti October 7th. You can order it here.
