Imagine how awesome it would be if the Wu-Tang Clan followed through on the implications of this video and went on a full-blown tour with The Roots. It would never work since there would be the eight egos of the Clan involved, as well as the dueling egos of Black Thought and ?uestlove of The Roots, but it has the potential to be awesome. The RZA has been saying that if the Clan is indeed going to get back together it's going to have to be on his terms, so maybe if he had Black Thought to fill in for whoever decided not to show up (as he did last night on Fallon), that might take a bit of the pressure off of all involved parties. The Roots are pretty much the best live band in hip-hop, and having them play The Wu's indelible anthem gave me real-ass goosebumps. Interesting tidbits: Masta Killa gets to rap for Raekwon, Ghostface sounds much more hoarse than he did when he played at Music Hall of Williamsburg over the weekend, and Cappadonna just yells "Wu! Tang!" a bunch and does a little jig right before Jimmy Fallon comes on. Anyways, I might just be a nerd about this sort of stuff, so watch for yourself.
