Chief Keef's Insane "Faneto" Remix Is Ten Minutes Long and Features Lil Bibby, Lil Herb, King Louie, and Lil Durk

DJ Pharris presents the essential, show-stopping Chicago drill lineup.

Chicago rap doesn't have the best reputation for artists working together, but lately—as Chief Keef explores the weirdo outer boundaries of music, King Louie teases his membership in OVO, Lil Durk readies his long-awaited debut album, and Lil Herb and Lil Bibby continue to generate an insane amount of buzz—there seems to be some recognition that the city has the goods, collectively, to make a serious impact beyond that one six-month period when the whole country became obsessed with drill music. Right now, Chief Keef's "Faneto" (off Back from the Dead 2, which you're forgiven for missing in the midst of the 80 other things Chief Keef has done in the last six months) is a hot song, and, like any hot song, it deserves an event-worthy remix. So here it is: All of Chicago street rap's leading lights (a group that includes producers Da Internz), brought together on a track under the guidance of DJ Pharris (he's the guy with the iconic "This Chi-CA-go, nigga" drop, a.k.a. one of the city's chief ambassadors).

Is it awesome? Well, yeah, if nothing else because it's an event. It's ten minutes long! The beat, co-produced by Keef and Da Internz, is like the world's most intimidating sci-fi epic theme song (presumably for the next Planet of the Apes movie, since Keef is "like a gorilla in that coupe"). Bibby and Herb crush the one-liners ("your boyfriend smells like ass and he broke" and "this cash like heroin in my veins, I need more," respectively), Louie continues to address those OVO rumors ("bitch you know who king, OVO"), and Durk, who clearly recorded his verse in the last week or so, talks current events: "Grease my trigger finger it ain't stuck / I just told Kendall Jenner can I fuck / ain't no gang like my gang and I know / South by Southwest I ain't go / hit the stage with Meek Milly at his show / he got Nicki I just want me Dej Loaf." He also has the line that sums it all up: "bitch I terrify my city, nothing's changed."

This is not casual listening. It's an event. It's Chicago. Listen up:
