Caves very quietly put out one of the best records of 2013. Betterment featured a perfect male/female vocalist mix that hit the punk noise equilibrium just right. Plus, the album’s opening line “I don’t care, I don’t care, go fuck yourself” is how every single album in the history of albums should open. The Bristol band will be touring through Europe starting this week and it’s only a matter of time (hopefully!) before they come through the US and mop the floor with us all.
In the meantime, Caves have this video for their song “January” which is off a new comp to celebrate 15 years of Yo-Yo Records. Check it out below if you like floating heads. And seriously, do yourself a favor and seek out Betterment.
