Ever spend a Friday night alone in New York City? Navigating the streets until you inevitably end up in a seedy Chinatown karaoke bar? Porches' new video for "Prism" is a pretty solid representation of that. From raw footage of the view from the JMZ trains crossing the Williamsburg bridge, to the neon lights and vacant faces of the mannequins in downtown store-fronts, the video encapsulates that feeling you get while roaming city streets, and the song itself is an ideal soundtrack to doing just that. Filled with more dreamy synths than we've ever heard from Porches before, "Prism" is off the band's recent two-track digital single and physical seven-inch on Terrible Records, which also features a b-side track "Forgive," featuring girlfriend and bandmate Greta Kline aka Frankie Cosmos.
