Countdown To The New On The Road Series!

Come celebrate with Noisey, Jesse Hughes and Marshall Headphones for the brand new On The Road series.

There’s nothing not to like about Jesse Hughes. Aside from forming the universe’s foremost dick-shaking rock’n’roll band Eagles of Death Metal with his best buddy Joshua Homme, he’s also an hilarious nutcase with a pervert’s wit (speciality: boner gags) and a musical encyclopaedia who hasn’t slept or stopped talking since the late 90s.

It was for this reason that Vice asked him to host a new rock’n’roll road trip series we launched last year with our dear friends at Marshall Headphones entitled "On The Road".

When Team Marshall suggested we do another series this year and they wanted Jesse to host it, the man himself begged that we make it a heavy metal pilgrimage to the UK to investigate the birth of his first musical love, Black Sabbath.

We obliged and Jesse will be in London this Friday evening (Sep 21st) to unveil the doc at Rough Trade East, do a Q&A with some of the characters from the show and some people who know loads about metal and he’ll also play a few acoustic tracks. The whole thing is free so just rock up at 6.30.

Marshall Headphones On The Road: Black Sabbath and the Birth of Heavy Metal launches on Thursday September 27th on vice.com and marshallheadphones.com
