PREMIERE: Listen to Slow Down Molasses' New Track "Home"

Fans of Slowdive and My Bloody Valentine should take note of Slow Down Molasses.

Sometimes the best music is the kind that's cinematic. Remember the part in that Jesse Eisenberg movie Adventureland where he moves to New York and "Unsatisfied" by The Replacements plays in the background and it's perfect? You could probably replace that song with Canadian five-piece Slow Down Molasses' "Home" and it would still work. Makes sense, as the band says that the song "takes some inspiration from the Talking Heads," which is always a very good thing. Fans of Slowdive and My Bloody Valentine should take note of Slow Down Molasses—who turned to producer Jace Lasek of Canadian indie-band The Besnard Lakes to help develop the dreamy vocals and synthy melodies that will be on the band's upcoming LP Burnt Black Cars.
