With Reptile Youth’s new single "JJ" the band are moving in a far new direction compared to the tracks of their self-titled debut album from 2012.

They’ve replaced the bass crammed electro-pop elements with a Madchester kind of groove and shoegaze guitars.

The producer behind the album, Jens Benz (Iceage, Lower, Thulebasen etc.), admits he hasn’t been listening to earlier recordings of the band, which pretty much makes sense when you listen to the track.

Okay, they still have that characteristic catchy Reptile Youth synth melody line throughout the track, but all in all this is a turning point for the band.

"JJ" is the first single from the band’s new album Rivers That Run For A Sea That Is Gone set to be released March 10. In support of the album, the guys have just announced a European tour with 3 stops in Denmark in March: Pumpehuset, Copenhagen (March 13th), Studenterhuset, Aalborg (March 14th) and Voxhall, Aarhus (March 15th).
