Ronaldo Scores an Exquisite Goal, Takes an Exquisite Dive

Cristiano Ronaldo is never wrong, and nothing supports that idea more than his performance against Celta Vigo today. And by performance, we truly mean 'performance.'

In the 8th minute (above), Ronaldo pulls the old one-two on his defenders and takes a floating lateral strafe to catch a well-weighted ball—sent past a wrong-footed defender—for a laser of a goal. Ronaldo did everything right. Never wrong.

Aaaaand then there's the dive (below), which came minutes later. This perhaps best encapsulates the Ronald-ego better than anything.

While cruising at his usual deer-like pace, Cristiano attempts a step-over, only to clip a toe on the pitch—right under the ball—and eats shit. Instead of coming up embarrassed like a regular human being, Ronaldo opts for incredulous, as he calls for a penalty—untouched by the defender, mind you. Of course Ronaldo didn't trip. Ronaldo doesn't trip! Ronaldo is never wrong.
