"I mostly tour in countries where people have been listening to dance for decades like France or Germany, a very experienced audience," says Bakermat. "I've never played in the US before so I really don't know what to expect!"Expectations all-round will be high as the Dutchman makes his first foray onto American soil with a style of house music that's been exploding in the US recently. Don't get caught up in the nomenclature, though. Bakermat explains his perspective: "I don't feel part of 'tropical house', I don't think my music is tropical, whatever that means, at all. I've been making this music for 2.5 years already. I always called it melodic house. It's pretty good that a different genre than big room house is growing in the US. Hope this trend will continue further and will make the US crowd open for more styles of dance music! Diversity is always good."The tour itself criss-crosses across the country with a few dates in Canada as well. It'll be a big reveal for the much respected producer.
