Bad Mojo is Slovakia's Finest Weirdo-Dance Producer

Peep this tune "Bambutchin"

Yeah, we've got that Eastern European swag. Bad Mojo is a leftist dance producer from Bratislava, Slovakia. His new EP Tidal Waves pings back and forth with weird mutations on dance. He takes sounds you might be familiar with, warps them, and then puts them all back together in a way that gets both your head and your feet moving.

"My production is grounded in club music, but I always try to get a unique and sometimes weird twist," He tells THUMP. "That was definitely the case with Bambuchin', where the twisted bassline and sub provide foundation of the track with percussion and other sounds moving the tune into a somewhat more experimental direction. I love to see the reaction in the club.

And what's the scene out there like anyway? "The Czech and Slovak scene is small and closely intertwined, it's come a along way in recent years with younger generation of labels and producers breaking the Eastern European stereotypes and pushing more interesting sounds with global influences."
