Move aside, Baby Boomers, you are now outnumbered.

Millennials—the generation of social-media obsessed, porn-loving citizens who were raised on Krazy Bones, Street Sharks, and Ecto Cooler—have just surpassed the long-reigning baby boomer demographic as the largest living generation in America, according to new research by the Pew Research Center.

There are now roughly 75.4 million millennials living in the US, about a half a million more than the 74.9 million 51- to 69-year-olds alive today. The boom is due in part to an influx of young immigrants—the past five years has seen over half of all newly-arriving immigrant workers born between 1981 and 1997.

Last year, millennials became the largest generation in the workforce, though most are still poorer than their parents, probably the reason they save more money than any other generation. They're also known for supporting marijuana and gay marriage, suggesting a major shift in the political environment in the next few decades.
