RAW CHINA - BLURBART

This is a sort of found poetry piece I've put together, taken verbatim from bootleg DVDS I bought in Beijing. You may assume that any misspellings are sic:

"I'm still under the influence of this movie, so my comment is likely to be superlative! I went to this movie, knowing that one of the writer and the director were both French, and since I've seen some not-so-impressive movies (almost fell asleep), I was really skeptical. BUT this one proved to be a great action movie. The best movie to compare with Taken is Hit-man. The idea is somewhat the same (lots of action, shots, flying bullets, etc.) –though the motive for the actions are not money. But the level of realism, the motivation of the character, the cold blood which moves him on makes this flick a good option to choose when selecting a movie." (Taken)

"ELIZABETH IS THE COOLEST BRITISH MONARCH EVER. SHE'S TOTTALLY BAD! The earlier film, which made a star of Cate Blanchett as the eoponymous Virgin Queen, celebrated the triumph of bright, happy Elzabethan Protestantism over the dark, unwholesome Catholic world of Bloody Mary. Even so, that film's church-bashing was tame compared to that of this sequel, in which everything bad, evil and corrupt in the world is ultimately the bitter fruit of Religion. "Needing extra cash, two brothers conspire to pull off the perfect, victimless crime. No guns, no violence, no problem. Two brothers organzie the robbery of their parents' jewelry store. The job goes horribly wrong, triggering off a series of events that send them and their family hurtling towards a shattering climax. Am beginning to see a very consistent pattern form in the identity of of 2007's films. If 2004 was the year of biographies and 2005 was the year of political films, 2007 can be identified as a year featuring a wide plethora of morality tales, films that portray test, challenge and question human morality and the motives that drive us to do certain things. Although this identification is rather broad, I think a handful of films released this year (Before the Devil Knows You're Dead)
