NEW YORK - GANG GANG ART

Lizzi Bougatsos from Gang Gang Dance is having a show at James Fuentes Gallery in Chinatown. It's called Street Feathers and is made up of things Lizzi's found walking around downtown New York (like those crazy posters you always see in Chinese hair salons) and made art. There are four pieces in the show, and the biggest one is a large-scale reproduction of a birdhouse she saw on Avenue C, which she thinks was made by homeless people. It's huge and made of cardboard, and when you look in the hole in the front, it's like a party in there! Cutouts of David Copperfield and Jessica Alba are hanging out, eating some pork loins and listening to the sound piece Lizzi made to accompany it. We're not going to tell you what the other pieces are like—I mean, fuck, we already spoiled a quarter of them—you have to go see the rest for yourself. The show runs until December 2. And, you're welcome.
