Today we have Creative 30 Icon Vivienne Westwood who nominated shoe designer Zoe Lee. Vivienne is the first lady of British fashion. Responsible for bringing the punk looks like bondage gear and safety pins into the mainstream through her shop in Chelsea, SEX, which she ran alongside Sex Pistols manager Malcolm McLaren. One of her greatest contributions to British fashion was playing a part in the design of the 9-inch heels made by Patrick Cox in which super demon Naomi Campbell famously fell over in during a Westwood show in Paris. Westwood is well known for her political activism and most recently for her new Manifesto, which attacked denim, and the fashion, art, and music industries for a lack of imagination and progression.
