MACHOTAILDROP SCREENING TOMORROW NIGHT

Because going to see Iron Man 2, How to Train Your Dragon, or Date Night are all only slightly preferable to getting a lobotomy tomorrow night, we would like to urge you to check out the NYC screening of Machotaildrop at the Tribeca Cinemas.

Machotaildrop is the eccentric story of Walter Rhum and his rise to fame in some really fancy world where Rick Mcrank has a horse, bathes with mannequins, and has a bedroom with a lot of gold in it. There's also an underground skateboard factory in a mine or something that looks pretty awesome.

This film has been hard to track down in NYC, hence my unforgivably sparse summary of it (basically a summary of the trailer). I even did an interview with the director, Corey Adams, a few weeks ago, and when I asked him for a quick rundown of the plot, alls he did was recite what IMDB had to say about it:

It's a highly visual and fantastical journey about an amateur skateboarder, Walter Rhum, who realizes his dream of turning pro and riding for the world's greatest skateboard company–Machotaildrop. Set in an anachronistic time and place, Machotaildrop is the greatest skateboard company of its day. Walter's journey serves as a window through which we discover the dark underbelly of what appears at first to be a benign skateboard company.

Anyway, there's a pre-screening event from 5 - 9 at Boundless NY and there are 4 screenings of the film at 7:00, 7:30, 9:00, and 9:30. You can get tickets here. The trailer's down yonder and if you'd like to read the interview with Corey, click here.
