BRENT GREEN AT PETE'S CANDY STORE

A little over a year ago Brent Green built five goddamn houses with his bare hands, some scrap wood, and a screw gun. Despite his sometimes unkempt beard, Brent doesn't look anything like Paul Bunyan or the type of gigantic woodworking man you would expect to build a bunch of houses by himself. So it's pretty impressive then that he built a small town in his backyard.

He built the houses to use as shooting locations for his film, Gravity was Everywhere Back Then. The film is based on the true story of an old guy whose wife got cancer. He tried to save her by building a "healing house" and praying a fuckload, but neither worked.

Tonight at Pete's Candy Store Brent will be giving a little talk about building the houses and, presumably, how much that process sucked. If you're not sure who the hell this Brent guy is, you can read an interview we did with him back in March here, or look at some pictures of one of the houses he built here.

Below is one of Brent's short films and the trailer for Gravity was Everywhere Back Then.
