Earlier this week my editor asked me to talk about people who leave negative comments on my posts, but since I do not care about those sad humans whatsoever, I have nothing to say about them. Instead I would like to address how the internet has stunted the communication capabilities of young people. The demographic for Vice is 18 to 30 year olds, or at least that's my perception. That age group doesn't do well interacting with each other. I think it's because of Facebook and Twitter and Myspace and all this internet stuff. They don't have to leave their house to date; they can have cyber sex. I'm from the old school, so I like to meet and greet and touch.

I truly believe that there are haters who have no lives and are sheltered. They are also probably overweight, ugly, and fat—they have nothing right going on in their lives so all they can do is bash other people. That is how they get off. This is their orgasm: To bash people who have something to say outside of their opinions.I would like to tell those haters to go outside and get some sun, because they are probably pale as hell from staying in the house all day. I don't want to discriminate here, you can be black, Indian, brown… I don't care if you're piss-colored. If you stay in the house long enough you're just going to wilt away. Find something outside of the chat. Take a walk in the park or buy a dog until you can find a mate.I don't have any young kids, but if I did and they were talking all sorts of crap on the internet all day I'd kick their butts out of the house on the regular and make them do some things outside. My kids have social skills and are cultured. They know sports and politics and they understand that interacting with people is healthy. Getting into arguments or debating is healthy, but only when you do it in person so there's the threat of someone punching your face if you get too lippy. But staying in the house and interacting only on the internet? That's not healthy. You don't meet women that way. It's going backward instead of moving forward. You have to be able to find a balance. I see a lot of people who work here on Facebook and Twitter, but they're also at a party Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. They're out partying, so they have a balance. They tweet a lot and they drink a lot. That seems to work for them.

I don't want to be a hypocrite, though. I tweet. And I know there are people who follow me, but I don't follow a lot of people. Tweeting is cool, but I don't base my whole life on tweeting. Sometimes I'll even tweet my location, but I don't do that much anymore. Sometimes I quote other people—great thinkers—and other times I'll take those quotes and try to mesh them with my own thinking. I try to mix it up—it depends on how I feel. If I'm at a nice restaurant I'll be tweeting, saying how good the food is and whether or not the service is bad. And if the girls are hot, I'll definitely be tweeting. Speaking of hot girls, I went to this place called the Jane Hotel last Friday. Slamming. Somebody told me I rolled in with nine people, but I guess they thought every black person there was with me. I only went there with two people. Maybe if people would pay more attention to reality they'd get that stuff right.RON HEMPHILLPreviously on Hey Ron!:MY PUSSY MAKES MY BOYFRIEND SNEEZE WHAT'S UP WITH "THE MEDIA"?
