I'M ON THE TV SHOW WE HAVE

Hello. Can you believe it's dark at 5 o'clock already? Isn't it crazy that this totally normal thing that happens at the same time every year has happened yet AGAIN? This year? This is something we should talk about! Our newly cold and dark environs are a great reason to drink to excess on weeknights and reflect on happier times; namely, summer. My summer was great. I went to the beach a few times, christened the new Yankee Stadium by peeing on the wall and getting in a fist fight, and finally got that back piece of a chubby Jewish accountant I've been after. Oh, we also made a TV show this summer! Pretty cool, right?

The Vice Guide to Everything

is our new brand new baby, and it debuts on MTV on December 6th at 11pm, right after the premiere of the new season of

True Life

(have you seen the "I have embarrassing parents" episode? Try it out if you're looking to cringe so hard that you literally collapse your facial muscles). We've had a go at things with MTV before--some Best of VBS stuff, a few online segments that got upstreamed--but this is our first foray into proper, made-for-TV original programming. It turns out we're really fantastic at it and we ended up making the best TV show ever. So that was good! Shane and Spike went to Yemen in search of the Taliban. I shot guns with convicted murderers outside of Moscow who make B-movie style TV shows about their real life crimes. Balls spent some time in Ghana with cyber criminals and voodoo priests, who happen to be one in the same. There's also a military arms market in Jordan, mixed martial arts in Brazil, a DIY strip club in Detroit, and border crossing fun in Mexico, not to mention a few hand selected recuts of best of VBS pieces like North Korea,

Sewers of Bogota

, and

Bulletproof Tailor

. Before we started making it some people talked about the idea as "60 Minutes meets Jackass," but what we wound up with is more "a guided tour to the absurdity of the modern condition" that features a whole slew of people, news, sub cultures and rituals that you might not know about but definitely want to. It also has some boobs. Some detail-y stuff you should know. - You can see the trailer here:

- The show is 30 mins, and the season is 8 episodes - every Monday at 11pm. - The debut episode on 12/6 is actually immediately followed by Episode 2, so pop extra popcorn or whatever it is you kids do. See you then. RYAN DUFFY
