Trent Cantrelle is Bringing His Big Apple Love to BEMF

Born in New Orleans and currently based in Los Angeles, producer and DJ Trent Cantrelle has a lot of love for New York City. Like many others, Trent cut his teeth soaking up beats in the concrete jungle of NYC and still pays homage to the influence the city's vibrant scene had on him during the early days of his career. "When I think NY, I think drum and bass, I think late mornings at Twilo, Sound Factory and Tunnel, I think Danny on Friday and Junior on Saturday—it was nights like these that changed the way I listened to music," says Cantrelle.

The esteemed selector will be bringing his Big Apple love to the sprawling Brooklyn Electronic Music Festival this weekend, with a performance at Output alongside Todd Edwards and Route 94 for a tasty serving of house. To hold you over, lock in to his addition to the BEMF mix series above.
