CMJ week is upon us, and tonight's choicest offering is a Ghostly International showcase with some of the label's brightest talents, including Shigeto, Heathered Pearls, Lord Raja, Beacon, Xeno & Oaklander, and more. To get us in the mood, New York-based producer Lord Raja—whose debut album A Constant Moth was one of Ghostly's standouts in 2014—takes his clippers to Heathered Pearls' "Perfume Catalogue." "At first, I did a polished-up techno remix, but then I found it boring, so I abstracted it and slowed it all down, mumbled some stuff into my iPhone mic, and printed it. Voila," he explains over email. "Lord Raja has an ear for finding the sweet spots in a song," adds Heathered Pearls.
