The streets of New York City will find themselves markedly less colorful this weekend as 90,000 of the east coast's most rage-prone revelers are raring to cross the Hudson River towards Electric Daisy Carnival New York at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, NJ.

Be warned, young raver. With attendance come great dilemmas. Can you choose between Hardwell, Afrojack, Bassnectar or Carl Cox headlining on Saturday? Does the fickle late Spring weather call for tank top or a sweater? Worry not, you'll find out the answers to this and more as we break down how to spend the best seven hours at EDC NY.

3PM - 4PM

Here's a protip. Get in transit early. There's nothing worse than hearing your favorite DJ's biggest hits…while getting still waiting to get through security outside of the venue. Plus, there are some legit options early on. If you're feeling some chill daytime vibes, check out Wax Motif's hip-hop-influenced deep house cuts or Kastle's whompy, garage-adjacent beats. If you're trying to get down early, French badman Mercer is the guy.

4PM - 5PM

It's time to warm up your fist pumps. Mash-happy bootleg bandit 3lau managed to squeeze in a Bloodhound Gang sample into his Tiësto bootleg and it's killer, so imagine what he'll do with your Saturday afternoon. Afterwards, prepare yourself for the New Jersey homecoming of locals Cash Cash.

5PM - 6PM

As the sun drops, take a few moments to check out all the crazy interactive environments. We promised not to tell you exactly what they're going to be, but because this is EDC, they'll be massive. If a man made out of glass or a walking caterpillar enter your vicinity, do not freak out.

6PM - 7PM

It might be time for that sweater now. While you're at it, check out Giant Kandi, an installation by Sabrina Dani that was selected as part of Insomniac's Discovery Project. As the name suggests, the installation is made up of giant kandi raver beads. As long as you're in the neighborhood, get on that ferris wheel. Yeah, the line might take you the better part of an hour, but the view is something you won't forget. Plus, you can make new friends while you wait!

8PM-9PM

It's turn up time. Don't spend too long deciding between EDM wunderkind Martin Garrix or wild boy Tommy Trash (do both), because you'll miss the triumphant ascent of DJ Snake. The Parisian party-starter has been ubiquitous this year and as we all know, Snake does not turn down for anything.

9PM-10PM

Now you're gonna have to decide: Are you gonna go old school or new school? Krewella have spent the last couple of years dousing the world in some dirty, dirty bass. UK legend Carl Cox has been at the cutting edge of electronic music since before the three members of Krewella were even born. Again…do both.

10PM-11PM

Here comes the biggest decision of your night. Hardwell might be DJ Mag's #1 DJ in the world, but Afrojack will give him some pretty stiff competition. If you dig your bass a little heavier and like the occasional scent of patchouli, you know you'll be at Bassnectar. Just be ready at the end of the night when some (actual) fireworks go off.

Just like that… it'll be over. If you've still got some of the rage in you, keep an eye out for Our Favorite EDC After Parties so you can keep the party going all night, or just get ready for Day 2.
