Homemade SpacecraftOn August 10th, Luke Geissbuhler and his young son launched their homemade device into the atmosphere. Composed of nothing but a weather balloon, an insulated capsule housing a camera, an iPhone for tracking, and handwarmers to keep the camera from freezing — the craft climbed 100,000 feet (that’s 19 miles high).
