Ole Miss Comes Back To Stun Alabama

Ole Miss tied Alabama late in the fourth quarter on a 34-yard strike to Vince Sanders, took the lead off a fumble recovery on the following kickoff, and sealed the win with an interception.

Ole Miss came back to beat Alabama 23-17 in a frantic last six minutes at The Grove. The Rebels tied Alabama 17-17 with 5:29 left in the game on an absolute laser touchdown from Bo Wallace. The scoring drive was just three plays and 55 seconds long, capped off by a 34-yard hookup between Wallace and Vince Sanders.

It looked like Ole Miss might get screwed by a dumb celebration penalty, one of the Rebels took his helmet off on the field after the score, but Alabama fumbled the ball on the ensuing kickoff. Ole Miss recovered and quickly moved down the field and took the lead on a 10-yard pass to Jaylen Walton.

Ole Miss had to hang on to their butts, though, because the kicker missed the extra point. That meant Alabama could have won it with a touchdown, but Ole Miss intercepted Blake Sims in the end zone to seal the game.
