Paola Antonelli is the design-and-technology-obsessed MoMA curator who added the @ sign to the museum’s collection. Her new show, called “Talk to Me,” opened last week, and it’s a veritable brain candystore of the kind of stuff you might find in sleek videos and descriptions on your Tumblr feed or in your Twitter stream. Antonelli’s mind is full of these amazing finds, proof that technology isn’t estranging us but refiguring our relationship with the world in valuable ways. Forget about the old augmented reality smart phone app; think of a robot bear that physically guides children by leaning in the direction they are meant to go, or simply a book that chronicles the “life”-cycle of each body part of a farm pig.Or this streaming video interview, brought to you by (our lovely friends at) the Creators Project.
