Lightning Hot Man U Newcomer Marcus Rashford Runs Away with an Early Two Goals

The goals were only four minutes and twenty-five seconds apart.

Manchester United has been waiting for a savior. Despite their sizable bank account, MU fell into the doldrums for the majority of the season, going into today as an underdog against titled contenders Arsenal. Not to mention the 13 injuries Man U is suffering. But in order to fill the roster, manager Louis Van Gaal looked into the youth academy to back up his thin bench. And he found gold.

Marcus Rashford is an 18-year-old striker from the youth system who was pulled up for Manchester's Europa League game against Midtjylland on Thursday. On his debut for the side, Rashford tallied an astounding two goals after finding out he would play only 15 minutes before the game due to an injury to MU's other youngster savior Anthony Martial. (Rashford's mother missed the goals, because Rashford told her he wouldn't play.)

And here he is, with two goals in his first Premier League debut, only four minutes and twenty-five seconds apart. Just astounding stuff.

Here comes the hype train. And Rashford is the conductor.

UPDATE:

You think that the mighty Arsenal was going to take that all lying down? After a picked-off header from Danny Welbeck, Arsenal's own savior Mesut Ozil found a rebound and slapped it out of the air for a well-needed bouncing goal.

But ultimately, it wasn't enough to regain some points for Arsenal. The match finished at 3-2, Manchester United. Thanks to Rashford, with two goals and an assist on the day. Teenager of the match, hands-down.
