Killer Mike and El-P are Christmas enthusiasts. They closed out their self-titled first album as Run The Jewels with "A Christmas Fucking Miracle," then returned last Christmas Eve with a Christmas Fucking Miracle made manifest, surprise releasing of RTJ3. A countdown on their website last week didn't bring us any news about RTJ4—we got an apocalyptic video for "Call Ticketron" instead—but a festive release wouldn't be a shock.Last night, they returned to The Late Show to ruin Stephen Colbert's kitschy Christmas song, "Jingle Jingle," reprising their role as foul-mouthed destroyers of Colbert's breezy holiday spirit. The pre-recorded skit worked well, with El-P cutting into Colbert's song by announcing, "Your country's being run by an orange fucking clown" and Killer Mike warning of a coming nuclear war.
